THE GRAIN, CANYON (SF)

It’s a simple story. A casual jam with a few old musician friends reconnecting in the hills of Marin ignites a spark, and a few months later a band is born. Ten years on, CANYON has become an established Bay Area group whose harmony laden new Americana style attracts both folk and rock and roll fans alike. With songs that show influence from the chiming early days of REM to the crackle and burn intensity of vintage Crazy Horse in the barn, the band performs both intimate acoustic and full-stage electric shows. Regardless of venue size, the band always delivers a careful blend of energy, dynamics, and harmony that give them their distinctive sound.
