DESCRIPTION:In the Summer of 2018\, the musical journey of trumpeter/vocalist Paul Schneider and guitarist Hannes De Kassian began as they explored the realms of jazz and funk\, lighting up clubs\, bars\, and wineries across Sonoma and Marin Counties in California’s North Bay Area. However\, like many\, their progress was disrupted by the global pandemic in 2020. Amidst the turmoil\, Paul reconnected on-line with his close friend and creative collaborator\, renowned drummer Atma Anur\, who now resided in Europe. This rekindled connection led to a musical revelation.

DESCRIPTION:Dylan Garrison with the Jose Simioni Organ Trio \nA Native of Sonoma County\, California\, Dylan Garrison brings his adventurous improvisational spirit to many styles of music.  Now he is releasing his debut album “Lousie”\, a collection of instrumental modern jazz compositions featuring some of the bay area’s great musicians including Tony Stead on keyboards/piano (Sly Stone\, Pointer Sisters\, Zigaboo Modeliste\, Elvin Bishop)\, Michael Dipirro on bass (Bill Kreutzmann\, Free Peoples\, Albany Project)\, Jason Thor on trombone (The King Street Giants\, Free Peoples\, Marshall House Project\, Brian Setzer Orchestra)\, and Nick Tocco on guitar (Sascha Jacobsen\, Frame of Reference).  In 2014 Dylan graduated from the University of North Texas College of Music.  He performs regularly with The King Street Giants\, Free Peoples\, Jose Simioni Trio\, among many others. Join us at the Big Easy for the premier of this new music!

SUMMARY:Dirty Red Barn with Staggerwing
DESCRIPTION:From Petaluma\, California\, Dirty Red Barn is influenced by artists such as Simon & Garfunkel\, The Allman Brothers\, Crosby\, Stills\, Nash & Young\, and Grateful Dead. Folksy lyrics and soaring harmonies\, reminiscent of the Traveling Wilburys’ sound\, are in this band’s wheelhouse. \nIn August of 2017\, DRB released its debut self-titled album. Drawing from four different songwriters\, 10 original tracks tell punchy and dynamic stories. Although it’s easy to detect songs influenced by the collision of blues\, folk\, rock\, and bluegrass\, it’s tricky to pin a genre other than Americana on the group. In 2019\, their second album\, Almost Perfect\, features 9 new original tracks. \nEach member of DRB brings a distinct style to his writing and performance. Hailing from Boston\, Dave Brouillette\, played folk songs in area pubs and later co-fronted a popular classic rock cover band for 10 years. Ben Becker has an edgier rock background from days of garage bands in college. Malcolm Johnson relocated from Iowa to LA and played straight-up rock before moving to San Francisco and being recruited by DRB. The newest member of DRB Paul Vine comes to us from Berkley and has dishes some saucy country/folk fiddle sounds.
